This blog post isn’t going to be about one particular subject, so lets see how many different things I can talk about!
First, let me talk about Bonfirecherry aka my printmaking persona, this will have a dedicated blog post in a few days after I confirm a few things, but at a recent event I got offered a chance to host my work at an exhibition. I recently produced some prints exclusively for the event, I just need to sign & frame them.
More information when everything is confirmed 🙂
The next thing you may have noticed is giving myself a new logo for my socials as I want to update the pics of yours truly that I use on my website, social & event promotion as the ones I used until now was from when I was promoting my debut, now I want to move on from that era of my author story.
I have booked a photo shoot with my favourite photographer, the talented Khandie Photography (aka the only photographer I will ever use) next month along with an appointment to get my hair done for it too, this is all before my next event.
Speaking of my next event which is a few days after the photo shoot I just mentioned, this might be my last event of 2026.
I am really looking forward to doing an event in Coventry, while the event is a 2 day event, I will only be doing the 1 day.
I want this event to be the last time I’m selling physical copies of my debut, as I’ve decided on something.
That after this Coventry event, I want to move all my remaining copies to a newly created Tiktok Shop, I have been using Tiktok a lot recently so decided to move them onto there so it’s all in one place.
While I am writing this post, I have ordered the last remaining copies my debut from Amazon UK & Queer Lit aka the last 2 places online you could order my debut, really weird buying my own book, due to no longer with the publisher as I parted away/out of print, I won’t get anything back them aka royalties so this is the only way I can do so.
Anyway, I will give more details about my Tiktok Shop closer to the time, I have set up an Post Office Click & Drop account so it will make sending book orders very easy, I had to sort out an account to send a kitchen knife I got from a blacksmith in Fukuoka, Japan when I went in 2024 to get restored, so it is good to have this ready now.
Lastly, let us talk about my upcoming new story, The Fantastical Overlook Bakery, I want to show off this amazing cover I commissioned my friend Gwen to do (I wasn’t going to use Ai for it!).
At the time this blog post goes live, I’m about 40% through the manuscript writing stage, I want the word count to be more than my debut by when I get to 50%. My record player has been a great thing to have while writing, I am hoping on finishing the manuscript by August.
