Hello all
As mentioned a few times before either on here or via social media, I’m working on a completely new story.
Previously I used the code name, Project Overlook, but I thought as I’ve commissioned a friend of mine to work on a cover that I would reveal the name.
I’m not planning on finishing the manuscript until like July/August, then I need to go through it to make sure it makes before, before I get some close friends to proofread for me (they know what the title is as I shared my notes with them)
While there are some fantasy elements in my LGBTQ debut and it’s re-imagine, this goes into it in another way, more in the way that you want a fantasy story to go, it’s not as serious with it’s subject matter.
My writing gets inspired by things around me and this new story is no different. Project Overlook is a combination of a change in my life prior to starting my transition (so 6+ years) and my love of Final Fantasy/Frieren, One Piece etc.
Gwen is the main character of the story, whose rough drawing you can see in the picture for this post. I have a sketchpad full of rough character drawings and maps for the different places the story goes.
The Fantastical Overlook Bakery is set in the same town as my debut/re-imagine as I put a lot of planning into the town layout and its surroundings.
If it gets enough interest, I’ve got enough notes and ideas for a second book.
Music & Food (not saying anymore!)
What will happen when I finish the manuscript? I’ve got plans to get this published no matter what.
I think that’s all for now as I need to continue with writing, maybe when it’s near completion I can reveal a rough plot and the finished character designs?
Thanks for reading
Megan
