While I am on my author break | My Plans for 2026

,

Hello all

I’m currently on a break from any author related work until I hear back from a literary agent who would be interested in my re-imagined debut, I’m waiting until sometime in January to hear back from all responses before I decide what to do next, I have a few ideas.

While I am on my break, I’ve been using the time to reflect on how the year has been & what things I would have been differently.

Honestly this year has had it’s highs and oh boy it has had it’s downs.

So with that, I want to look into 2026 instead.

Not much I can say on the story related front as, currently it’s out of my hands for the time being. But when it’s got a path that I can go forward on, I want to update all my social branding, maybe re-do my whole website and do more book fairs.

I’ve been thinking the past few weeks about bringing back some old projects, the first being the return of book reviews.

I’ve done book reviews of manga I owned and they did well views wise, I mainly decided on manga as it’s what I’ve got a lot of in my bedroom, the last review I did was November 2023 and I think it’s time to bring them back. I am teasing a few reviews in the picture used for this post.

I am thinking about Stop!!! Hibari-Kun being the first one I review next year, while it’s a series that got cancelled but it’s still a great story regardless. I bought the 3 volumes of it from an exhibition in Fukuoka last year, which was about the author behind it which had them on sales.

I was going to say that it’s currently not in English, BUT just found out that only last month that an English version of volume 1 has been released, I will be on a hunt for it next year.

The other project, is that maybe late 2026 I want to look into doing a new podcast as any chance of the Bonfire Banter Podcast returning is zero. This would be about books along with another subject, but more about that closer to the time

Short post, but I think that’s covered everything.

Thanks for reading,

Megan
