Hello all!
The original title for this post was going to be “How did my small trip go to London as someone who is transitioning?”
But it felt bit click bait with that title, because the answer to the question, is that it went alright and nobody really cared because I didn’t make a big deal out of it.
So with that out of the way, I can talk about how the 3 days in London went (actually I went for 4 days but the last day was mostly traveling back).
There are a lot of reasons to go to London and for me it’s mainly going there for the museums (and the occasional gig),
I studied Art and Design then Graphic design between 2007 to 2010 in college, this did involve the day trip to London from the V&A, Tate Modern & Tate Britain among others.

^ Here are a few of me from years ago.
So yeah i have always had the interest of going back to the London for the art and that I decided to do this year with one of my best friend Dene.
We got to London on the Friday and decided to go to Camden Market, somewhere I briefly went before with a family member but didn’t like it as I thought it was small but boy, I was wrong.

I didn’t look around properly before, it was huge!!!
I went to Camden on a Friday because there is a shop I wanted to check out, which opened on that day.
As you know I love anime & manga, so a shop all about it featuring Gacha machines, I just had to go!

I wasn’t disappointed with the shop, got a few things from the Gacha machines and and bought myself a figure while I was there (It’s currently left hand side of my tv).
It was such a great return to London after many years!
After 11 years, finally returned to the V&A, I previously went with my grandparents who both (at the time of this post) are no longer around, this time I was here with one of my friends Dene.
The V&A (Victoria & Albert) was bigger than I remembered as it took like 4 hours to go around the place and didn’t even visit the main exhibition that was on called Diva.
I did get a lot of sketches, which I will show off via social media soon.

This wasn’t the only arty thing we had planned today, I discovered there was a free exhibition at Japan House, which was “not that far” from the V&A (was like a 30/40 minute walk), how can we say no to something that was free?
We visited the Tate Modern on the Sunday and I loved it, the sketches I had already kept on growing throughout the day.
Regarding sketches, I accidentally left my sketchbooks back at the hotel so had to buy a new one from the Tate shop, gave me a reason to check out what they had I suppose haha.
By Monday morning, Me and Dene were completely knackered and we decided to head on home.
Overall the trip went well, every now and then I like to keep my creative juices flowing be it via sketching, printing or blogging, it’s always good to get those ideas out there!
Have you been to any of the places shown above?
Comment down below 😀
With that, thanks for reading my post!
