Anime Round-up Episode 4

Happy Monday all!

The end of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury sure left a huge space in my anime heart after it finished last Sunday, and I’ve been spending the last week filling that void!

I have been loving the fan art & memes from it!

The first series I watched was My Annoying Senpai/My Senpai is Annoying

At a certain trading company, saleswoman Futaba Igarashi has managed to hold her respectable job for almost two years thanks to the guidance of her senior coworker—Harumi Takeda. However, due to Igarashi’s short stature, Takeda often teases her and treats her like a kid, leaving Igarashi constantly annoyed by his antics.

Despite this, Igarashi notices Takeda’s reliability as he is always ready to help whenever something at their workplace goes awry. As Igarashi and Takeda spend more time together, their relationship soon develops further than simply being coworkers at the office.

First off, I just love the opening for this, catchy as all heck and I had on repeat after finishing work the previous few days.

I may need to switch to the manga as the next series of this won’t come out til late next year but can honestly say the series are good. I loved the chemistry between Futaba and Takeda from start to finish with Takeda being the annoying senpai not treating Futaba like the adult that she is despite her appearance but throughout the series you see them care for each other eg when they fall sick which is super cute.

I am super excited to see what will happen from this. At the time I’m writing this up there is 10 volumes with the 11th coming out January next year so in the new year I might buy a few and do a manga review ahead of season 2?

Next up is a brand-new weekly series that started on Netflix called My Happy Marriage, I let the trailer above show what the plot is.

I can say I am so looking forward to watching episode 2 next week, the plot might not be original, but I am intrigued to see what they are going to do as I love animation and voice acting.

Speaking of voice acting, when it comes to anime it’s often just done in native Japanese first then months later in English but this time round, they are releasing it in English at the same time which I find amazing and it’s what I watched the first episode in.

Bring on episode 2 next week where I hope to talk about this series as it’s got me hooked after one episde!

I did watch The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, I confess I purely just watched it for the romance angle and it’s kind of not memorable, could predict half the stuff going on and I didn’t really like the opening, which is bummer, I’m just bringing this up here as I’ve watched it and that’s it.

This weekend was good because it was the return of The Duke of Death and his maid after I finished the first season a week ago, I like to say I choose a good time to check it out as the series ended with me wanting me more!

The Duke of Death and his maid season 2 started off great with a new intro, slightly different from the first which was good to see.

The first season ended with the Duke being open with his romantic feelings for Alice the maid and his intention to marry her, slight downside is that he got cursed from a witch when he was young that anything he touches dies.this motivates the duke and alice to find a cure for his curse along with some family issues adding to the pressure too.

As mentioned before this like something Tim Burton would have done if he was to animate a series and I love it!

This first episode of the second season continues with the two looking for a cure for his curse but nothing too big as it’s just the first episode, so instead there was a fair bit of fan service eg Alice and a witch called Cuff in bikinis, insert your dirty comments here haha.
