Hello to the first of a weekly post talking about anime!
Well, more the anime I have watched this week such, I’ve just watched the new episode of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2.
I got into Mobile Suit Gundam a few years ago, it’s a series that might look massive to some people, but this new series is set within its universe, so you don’t have to worry about getting confused, just need to watch a prelude episode before season 1 to explain the back story and then you are fine.
This week’s episode involved the two main characters of the series Suletta Mercury & Miorine Rembran meet up together after many episodes being apart and big robots in space fights involving many deaths, which is normal for a gundam series.
This is the first time I have watched a Gundam series while it is still ongoing, so I can look up other people’s reaction via Twitter when it trends.
Another anime that is still ongoing that I am watching is, The Dangers in My Heart. It’s about a boy at school Ichikawa who has a lot of dark thoughts such as murders and wants to kill the most popular girl in school Anna Yamada. This gets complicated when he and the most popular girl in school start to become friends and possibly more?
This week’s episode brought us some scenes of the two at a new year’s event and Yamada coming around to Ichikawa’s house, what will she find?
As much of a One Piece fan that I call myself, I only watch the anime occasionally, I mainly read the manga unless I want to see something I know will be good animated such as Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation in a few weeks’ time.
But as I am on the topic of One Piece, the teaser trailer for the live action series on Netflix has been released and I love it!
I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it, things have to be tweaked for a live action series such as Luffy wearing shoes instead of sandals due to stunts etc which some people are upset about but it’s the best they can do and I know there has been a lot of love put into the project, can’t wait for August 31st!
Speaking of Netflix, I have been watching a lot of anime on it as of late such as Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You (ok story, didn’t like the ending), Hi Score Girl (loved the story part from the ending), Romantic Killer (loved all the episodes and the ending, Toradora (loved the intro, the episodes but not sure of the ending), Teasing Master Takagi-san (watched the season after the one on netflix and the film and it gave such a great ending), Kotaro Lives Alone (loved the series, it’s sad though!), The Way of The House Husband, Komi Can’t Communicate (loved it, currently up to date with the manga as it’s still ongoing), Backstreet Girls Gokudolls (the funniest thing I have watched in months, the live action version is funny too) and that’s the ones I can remember at the top of my head.
I am currently watching Carole and Tuesday so I will talk about this a lot more in next week’s post but I can say this is honestly an underrated series and better than most of the anime that I watched above because it’s about music and I am a sucker for music that I’ve got the songs from the anime on my spotify as I am typing this, but again more next week to share the love for this series!
I think that’s everything for this week, let’s chat about anime again next week!
