I thought I share a little post about what the author of The Trip Between the Two aka me has been up to.
The Trip Between the Two has been selling rather well on numerous sites, well I don’t know the details of every website the book is available to purchase from, the book has sold out on Amazon UK 3 times, Bokus and Paperplus with stock being low on Whsmith & Amazon UK (again).
I’ve been spending time connecting to those in the book world, who doesn’t love a bit of networking?
See my insta post above, you will see I met up with someone I haven’t met up in ages but someone who has some influence in The Trip Between the Two. Ben is such a great guy, please check out his business So Very Creative.
On the front page of my website, I’ve got the upcoming events I will be attending. The next one was going to be a Northampton book signing event in July then a book fair in October, but I have changed the book signing event to November, why?
I will reveal all soon as it’s in the planning stage, but I can say I got invited to something rather special in another city in the UK with an award winning business & with another author similar to me. I wish I can say more but I will announce it everywhere when it’s confirmed 🙂
Something I am planning to do when I get some time free, is to work on a map of Leetry aka the town The Between the Two is based on. Leetry is roughly based on the town I currently reside in, Northampton but with some minor changes.
The reason to come up with a map is because, The Jump between the Two (book two in the trilogy I’ve got planned) is in it’s writing stage as we speak and I needed to explain on how the town is set to help develop the story. If you are curious on what the department store Rhiki, Vivi’s Bar and Astral Creative Guild look like among places & people, I will reveal that in November but more about that closer to the time.
As I’m writing this post, I am up to chapter 6 and hoping to get to at least chapter 9 in the next few days. All I can say that the book is set a few years after The Trip Between the Two and already got a rough plan for the ending on how it will connect to the last book in the trilogy, The Journey Between the Two.
I am planning on finishing the manuscript by the end of the year then starting the publication process with my publisher, I have got an idea on what I want the book cover to look like too, but more about that closer to the time. I did hit a small creative hurdle a week back which stumped me for a few weeks but with some advice from Ben, I sorted it and now continue writing.
I am planning on checking out a certain book shop in Manchester next week, only to be there for a few hours then going back home. Speaking of book shops, I have been messaging a lot of them about stocking my book, while I do have a publisher to help do it, I do like to message myself sometimes.
