Hello everyone

I am a sucker for anime and manga as you may know, as I have got some of this blog dedicated to it.

When it comes to anime, I am a sucker for the slice of life genre with some stories taking place in a school eg My Dress Up Darling, The Angel living Next Door, Tomo is a girl, A sign of Affection, Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable, Toradora to name a few.

Last year I watched a lot of anime, I even did a ranking (click here to find out) with Dangers In My Heart season 1 getting put into the no.4 spot.

The plot of the series is about.. actually I will use the MyAnimeList description as I used that a lot during my anime posts last year

Kyoutarou Ichikawa may look like a shy and reserved middle school student, but deep within his heart is a bloodthirsty killer. His ultimate desire is to see his classmate Anna Yamada’s beautiful face writhing in pain before he ends her life. But this fantasy may never come to fruition, as Ichikawa starts to see an entirely different side to Yamada.

Often seeking refuge in the library, Ichikawa frequently runs into Yamada. It is during these encounters that Ichikawa realizes his model classmate is actually an airhead who can never read the room. As they spend more time together, the boy cannot help but feel not only a sense of endearment toward the very girl he wishes to murder but also a desire to protect her at all costs. Is it possible that this sudden change in Ichikawa’s perspective could lead to something more?

How Ichikawa & Yamada start to like each other & develop feelings throughout the first season is great, the series is mainly from Ichikawa’s point of view.

The whole first season gave us Ichikawa & Yamada having a day out today, time at a shrine on new years, Ichiwara hurting himself trying to get a really good photo for Yamada and stopping someone from bugging her (see video above), Overall, I need to re-watch the first season because it was that good.

Why I love the series so much is both of the main characters are learning more about the feelings they have got for each other, they are young so it’s going to take time and able to watch the development is amazing.

I am loving season 2 because it’s continuing to give us that development in a way that other series aren’t doing like this in a way I can’t explain, we even got our main character meet with Yamada’s family & that was amazing to see!

Only 4 episodes into season 2 (at the time I’m writing this, late January) and just had a great valentines episode, it was so cute!

I know it’s likely going to be no.1 when it comes to slice of life anime, when it comes to anime overall that will be The Duke Of Death & His Maid Season 3 that hopefully be out later on in the year but for now it’s going to be Dangers In My Heart.
